909 is a personal studio project that we did over the last 5 months. We wanted to try out some new techniques as well as tell at least a bit of story while doing so. We had THE BEST TIME EVER creating this shortfilm. As always, working with great people is great fun! The world is done. To survive, the human race has built a space station floating in the dying earths orbit. Human #909 is the last living person for some time now and he can't take it anymore. Just as Nietsche predicted, he develops "amor fati" a love for fate, and he decides to end his life with one last look at the beatuy of our dying planet.
909 is a personal studio project that we did over the last 5 months. We wanted to try out some new techniques as well as tell at least a bit of story while doing so. We did everything inhouse, all the modeling, texturing, animation and rendering is 100% made by us. When it came to rendering, we turned to ARNOLD renderer because of quality, memory efficiency and performance when it comes to handle such massive amounts of geometry and textures.
